Warm up leads before the crawl
At a typical wedding show, you have 7 seconds to grab the attention of a bride or groom. 7 seconds is all it takes for them to walk right past you, unless you have a strategic plan for how to pull them in.
But what if, instead of having to fight for their attention, couples show up at your venue, walk right over to your table, and say, “We’ve been excited to meet you to talk about [insert your service/product]!” That’s the wedding vendor dream!
When we exhibit at wedding shows to promote Tony Mellinger Weddings, we have this happen all of the time. How? Because we have intentional strategies to “warm up leads” before they get to the show. We want couples to know us and come looking for us!
So, how do you do this if you don’t know exactly who is coming?
While you might not have the list of attendees (yet!), you can be confident that the majority of them are following the Crawl on social media. So, that’s a great place to start. Here are some good, better, and best ideas to warm couples up between now and April 6th.
GOOD
Create posts highlighting your participation and excitement for the event and tag @stlweddingcrawl on Instagram or post it in the Facebook event. We’ll share any unique content you post!
Many of you have done a great job sharing about the event itself—thank you! Now, it’s time to start documenting your preparation for the event. Here are a couple of ideas:
· As you’re packaging or preparing goodies or giveaways for the show, post about it!
· As you grab coffee with your business partner to strategize for the Crawl (or stage it!), post about it.
· As you pack up your vehicle with your supplies, post about it!
All of those are great opportunities to get your business, and yourself, in front of our Crawl attendees before they get there.
BETTER
As you create these posts, include your face in the photos/videos so that when our couples show up, they recognize you!
BEST
Create video posts speaking directly to our guests! Just grab an iPhone and record a video of yourself sharing how excited you are to meet them at the Wedding Crawl and tell them what you’re giving away or offering to them and only them. Tell them: “come find us. We’ll be at ______ venue!”
Be sure to use inclusive language, and tag @stlweddingcrawl on Instagram or post directly to the event in Facebook and we’ll share!
These are easy tactics to help warm up our Crawl couples before they show up so that they come looking for YOU! What did we miss? Do you have other tactics that you use to warm up leads?
